Can’t Be Bothered To Patent This Right Now….
I love using my GPS navigation system.. but I wish it had the following feature: tell me when a turn is really important. For example, if I follow the directions my GPS device tells me, most of the time, if I miss a turn, the next available turn will only add a few minutes to my overall journey (sometimes, it’s even possible that missing a turn results in getting to a faster alternative route, due to the routing algorithm my GPS uses). But occassionally, missing a turn is disasterous — adding at least 30min to your trip or more. And this is important information to be aware of for a driver. I would love it if my GPS told me: “Your trip has 9 turns in it.. and there is 1 critical turn that you should not miss. I will alert you before your [5th] turn so that you are not excessively delayed.”
Please someone add this feature to GPS navigation! And you can’t patent it now — because I’ve just made this public knowledge. Also, I doubt one “skilled in the art” couldn’t come up with this. Can I at least get some attribution, tho? Where’s the Creative Commons for patents? hmmm…
