Palm Is Starting To ‘Get It’ — Maybe.
A bunch of folks noticed that Palm has a chance to one-up Apple’s iPhone platflorm with more open development terms (and potentially some better developer tools, too). A Palm employee asked for advice on his blog and received some (too much?) attention — so he had to move the post to an ‘official’ Palm.com site (after a bit of internal discussion). I am a Mac fan, but I also owned a Palm Pilot — and I’ve seen Palm lose its way just as Apple did in the late 90s. If Palm plays its cards right, they could have something. But they’ll be bumping up against Google and Nokia and Microsoft and Apple and (Asus? Dell? Samsung? Motorola?)…. Anyway, I just want an alternative to the iPhone cuz I’m on Verizon.
