The moon came closer to the Earth today. I doubt that the human eye would actually notice, though. Calculating the angular size of the moon, it looks like the “14% bigger” number comes from comparing the moon’s angular sizes at its apogee vs its perigee. So if you happen to have a photographic memory of what the moon’s apparent size was when it was at its apogee, you might think it’s bigger. But you probably won’t notice any difference because you have nothing to compare it to.
