No More Version Numbers for HTML?!?!!! →
I wonder if anyone has studied the effect of “naming” software versions. Everyone knows that you don’t want Software1.0 — or any version number that ends in a zero. So if you start naming your operating systems after large cats (eg. Tiger, Leopard, Panther….), does it actually have any effect on your software? Or just on how people perceive your software?
